In June 1940 Germany sent its air force to attack London. These attacks followed daily for 57 nights. This forced London to hide in underground bunkers. By October Germany gave up on trying to take over Britain.

Battle of Midway
This battle was a big turning point in the war. The japanese was trying to expand their controll on the Pacific. America had found out of this plan and they had totally trapped the Japanese.
D-day
On this day France was liberated. On June 6th 1944, the allied forces landed on Normandy beach. The attack was lead by General Eisenhower.
The Battle of bulge
On December 16th 1944 the German forces made a surprise attack on Belgium. The Germans progressed into the allied territory but they were soon run out and had to turn back.
The battle of berlin
The ending battle started on April 16th, 1945. The soviets had a great win as the Germans did all they could to save the land.
Liberation of Aushwitz
The Soviets went to go help the Jews. They captured all the Germans who ran the camp and set the Jews for freedom. The U.S noticed this cause and helped free the other camps.
